Women’s History Month event

I am hosting another mini-panel at the Thurman Grill – this time in honor of Women’s History Month.  I have gathered women from our community who have “lived” the feminist movement to share their experiences and struggles with us.  I can’t wait to hear from these women – I hope we will be energized and engaged and empowered to refute any sister’s claim that feminism hasn’t benefited our lives!  See you then!

I find this personally relevant since human rights hold an important place in my heart –  I founded a chapter of Amnesty International at my high school (way back when).

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to name human rights activist Michael Posner to the position of assistant secretary of state for democracy, human rights, and labor, Bloomberg News reports. Posner is currently the director of Human Rights First.
