2010 Midwest Energy and Climate Conference – June 8-10, 2010 – at the Missouri Botanical Gardens

Efforts to address Midwest energy and climate issues gained traction in the year since our last conference even amid an economic crisis, congressional failure to take legislative action, and only limited progress at Copenhagen. The leadership vacuum continues to be filled by the Environmental Protection Agency as well as local, state, and regional directives. Please join us for the fourth annual “Midwest Energy and Climate Policy Conference” on June 8-10 in St. Louis as we discuss Midwest energy and climate priorities. We will also host “A Dialogue on the Science of Climate” the evening before the Conference at the Missouri Botanical Garden with Dr. Gavin Schmidt, NASA and Dr. William Dannevik, St. Louis University.
Keynote speakers include:
Sen. John Warner, R-Va
Warner Baxter, President and CEO, Ameren
Chancellor Mark Wrighton, Washington University
Sessions include:
Financing Clean Energy Projects
The Midwest’s Energy Future
A Fresh Look at Solar
Federal/State Efforts to Regulate GHGs
Midwest Technology Options
New Coal Technologies
Emerging Transportation Issues
