St. Louis Designated a Bicycle Friendly Community
By Cara | October 26, 2009
The City of St. Louis has been designated as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. This award was based upon a rigorous application developed by a team of stakeholders involving the City of St. Louis, Great Rivers Greenway District, St. Louis Regional Bicycle Federation, Trailnet, and Grace Hill. The League recognizes the accomplishments the City has made to incorporate more bicycle-friendly programs and infrastructure which ultimately enhances the quality of life, sustainability, and transportation networks for our citizens.
Attached for your information is the 2009 Bicycle Community Application and an invitation to attend the Mayor’s Press Conference to celebrate this award on October 22, 2009.
We are very proud of this accomplishment and will continue to strive to make the City of St. Louis a GREAT PLACE to live! Thank you so much for your continued support!
