Republicans under fire for votes on grocery tax bill

Why do some people have such a hard time putting themselves in other people’s shoes? Hard times call for hard choices and it’s not like the grocery tax monies would be lost – they are asking to raise the income taxes of more affluent taxpayers. Oh wait – now I understand… class wars, game on.

Republican House members from districts with high unemployment have come under political attack from Democrats for joining the GOP’s bloc vote against a measure to remove the state’s 4 percent sales tax on groceries.
